Even during this Covid-19 virus, I’ve still been able to find days where I put makeup on. It makes me feel so good to have a face of makeup because it’s something I find so relaxing to do and it’s a good way to wake myself up whilst enjoying my morning coffee. I thought I’d show you my typical makeup picks for an everyday makeup look.
At the moment, I’m using the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter to coat my cheeks forehead and chin in a glowy sheen. I love applying this on my face whether I end up wearing makeup or not. I think it’s going to look so pretty when I get back to fake tanning this summer. It can be applied before your foundation or afterwards. I always add it before just because I like to use it as a base and I have other products that I use when it comes to liquid and powder highlights.
Following on from that, at the moment, I’m using a budget-friendly foundation from The Ordinary. They have two types of foundations, a full coverage one and a serum option. The serum option is my favourite to use during this time of year because it’s a wash of colour but doesn’t feel or look too heavy on the skin. For concealer, I love using correcting pens at the moment and one of my all-time favourites is the YSL Touche Éclat Highlighter. It’s such a great product that provides that perfect highlight under the eye and I love that it’s buildable, which is important for the weather we’re coming into (albeit, stuck inside).
Moving onto eye makeup, it’s one that I’ve mentioned previously on my blog as one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes. The Urban Decay Heat Palette has such a delicious collection of warm tones, from rusty reds to smokey browns. It’s such a versatile but basic palette for those who don’t want to step out too far from the neutral tones. I also love wetting an eyeshadow brush and going in with the shimmers to make them pop even more.
I love a classic cat-eye winged liner and the Ciate Stamp And Drag is such an easy product to use if you’re like me and constantly fails to do a winged eyeliner – freehand. Mascara is one that I have on rotation because I’ve got a selection that all do the things I need but the Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes is a solid constant.
For contouring and blush, I love using the Hourglass Ambient Palette. The bronzer is slightly darker than what I would usually go for but it works with a light hand. A mixture of the two blushes is great to give a wash of colour over the cheeks and a bit of the blinding powder highlighter is gorgeous.
And finally, I love a nude lip. I mean doesn’t everyone? So the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Lipstick is a classic choice and I love it.
