Keeping Your Skin Safe With Altruist Sunscreen

Even though summer may be over, it’s still important to wear sunscreen on those days where we get sunny weather here in the UK. Rare, I know. If you don’t, UV rays can be one of the major contributions towards skin damage and damage to the pigmentation in your skin. For some, it can also result in cancer, so you want to take it seriously when it comes to protecting your skin. I was sent the Altruist Sunscreen to review a while back on my other blog, UpYourVlog. However, since using the product, I decided to re-purchase it myself because I really fell in love with this sunscreen.

There’s honestly, nothing more satisfying than the smell of sunscreen and we used the one that I reviewed, whilst on our trip to Egypt last year in 2019. This sunscreen is described as being a premium product that has been formulated and developed by Dr. Andrew Birnie in partnership with some of the very best formulation scientists within Europe. The sunscreen definitely has a great feel to it and I think that’s what really drew me into the product because it’s thick but not too thick that it feels like you’re applying Sudocrem to your body. I think that can be a common problem with finding the ideal sunscreen. Some of it can be too oily or too thick.

What I love about the product is that it very easily absorbs into the skin, non-sticky and you don’t get any of the leftover residues that you might get with other sunscreens. It’s hypoallergenic and fragrance-free too! With an SPF of 30, this is a great starter sunscreen when you first get out into the sun to make sure your skin is properly protected for tanning. Its one that can be used for all the family and the easy to squeeze tube means you can get every last bit of it out, even if you’re the type to cut through the packaging to scoop it all out – like me.

It’s sold on Amazon and it’s a really affordable sunscreen at £4.50 for 200ml. A lot of other sunscreen products I’ve used are a lot more expensive and so I think what you get in quality with this product, is incredible when you think of the low price you pay for it. The fact it’s on Amazon makes this product easily accessible for most households and it also comes in bigger versions if you’re wanting up to a liter of product.

I absolutely love using the Altruist Sunscreen during the summer and if I’m honest, it’s important to try and use sunscreen all year round, even if the sun appears to be behind the clouds. UV rays can penetrate them and still impact your skin, so it’s good to apply some to any exposed areas when you’re outside. Whenever we’re out and about on a sunny day, I’ll be sure to apply this to my skin as and when it’s needed.
