A Unique To Display Your Artwork

I love the artwork in my home, so much so that I have too much artwork and perhaps not enough wall space to fit it all on without it being cramped. However, the other day I was looking at three pieces of artwork that had been made out of an acrylic plastic from a company called Posterlounge. If you haven’t already heard of this company, check them out because they’re great. Anyway, these are three pieces that can go flush onto the wall or they are strong enough to hold themselves up. And I suddenly thought of a unique way to display this artwork without it needing to go onto the wall.

As much as the artwork is usually fixed to a wall, you could actually just place them around different areas of the home by leaning them against something. I had three pieces from Posterlounge that I wanted to place somewhere. The first one above is the most recent and the two below are ones that I got when I first moved into our apartment. The two below have been sitting unloved and unappreciated for the past two years, so it’s about time I displayed them somewhere.

At the entrance of our hallway, I decided to place the & sign on a small glass table that we carried over from the previous place that we rented. It was one of the few pieces of furniture that we bought over and made the cut. As it’s quite a simplistic side table, I’ve displayed a pyramid statue that we got from our travels in Egypt, a rose gold watering can and a candle. Our keys normally sit here and so I rested the artwork behind it to give this area a bit of a backdrop.

Moving into the bathroom is where I wanted to display a piece of art but with the new tiles, I didn’t really want to disturb them or risk breaking them and causing more financial damage. Instead, we have a shelf that backs onto a wide mirror and leaning the artwork onto the mirror, definitely seems to work. I later realised that this might be in bad taste as it sits directly above the toilet…

I love the black and white simplicity of this Elvis print, making reference perhaps to the black and white era of television screens! It’s very pop-art which I love too and it’s a little moody which I love. Elvis has a lot of meaning to me from my grandad, who always used to sing Elvis songs on karaoke.

And finally, the grunge-type print of Marilyn Monroe. I love this print so much and it’s definitely my favourite of everything I have around our apartment. This one sits by my vanity table and I think it adds a gorgeous pop of colour to the space as our apartment is mainly a neutral colour throughout of cream and white.
