I love candles around our apartment. Autumn and winter are those seasons where you wrap yourself up into a throw, light a candle and have a relaxed evening in to yourself or with others. I got a Jo Malone candle from my fiance for my birthday back in November. Now I love Jo Malone fragrances, I think they’re pricey but at the same time, the fragrance lasts longer than most.
I got the Peony & Blush Suede fragrance, and I think this has to be one of my favourites. It’s such a lovely, mature scent that’s feminine and inviting. It currently sits on my coffee table and although a candle is meant for burning, I think I want to hold off using it for now because it just looks so pretty. I’m hoping that when I do burn it though, it keeps the wax that’s up against the glass. If it does though, I’ll clean it out and keep it as an empty feature on the coffee table.
I think a candle as a gift is a lovely thing to receive if the recipient it obessed with candles, like me. A Jo Malone one is simply the ultimate in sophistication and one that you’d wish would last forever. You can really smell the fragrance when you walk into a room. The burn time on these candles is pretty standard at fourty-five hours and as much as it feels like a long time, it isn’t. I could burn candles for hours and then realise, that I should have blown them out an hour or so ago.

I really want to treat myself to a Jo Malone fragrance at some point in the new year. I rely heavily on just the one fragrance at the moment, so it would be nice to mix it up a little and have something different and a little bit more luxurious. I love the Peony & Blush Suede but I would also consider the Pomegranate Noir. There’s so many beautiful fragrances and I love actually going into the shop itself and just sniffing all the scents on offer.
