As a freelancer, getting a coffee machine was necessary because I was and stil am a sucker for commercial coffee shops like Costa Coffee and Cafe Nero. So when it came to picking out a coffee machine, I knew Nespresso was my preferred choice. I never used to be a coffee lover until I moved away from home and I was doing an early morning shift at my godfather’s then pub. That sweet morning coffee with milk changed my life.

We went with Nespresso’s Lattissima One because it had everything that both me and Sam wanted in a coffee machine. It comes with a milk frother and three functions, i.e. three types of coffee, that you simply tap at the top to activate. The machine operates with Nespresso pods and I’ve yet to look into getting pods from my favourite coffee shop Cafe Nero, to see if they’re compatiable.
As part of our joining to the Nespresso membership, we got a free cube that we could store all our pods in. I went wild with my selection and picked out 150 pods in different varities. Some were specific for espresso, some specific for milky coffees and ones that were decaffinated. As a lover of coffee, the decaffinated ones will come in useful if I’m after a mid-afternoon cup and don’t want that buzz of caffeine keeping me up in the evening.

Overall though, I’m really happy with the coffee machine and I’m glad we went with this one because it provides me with that fresh cup of coffee that I used to get on my morning commute to work and into London. It’s a little bit of luxury for my mornings and I can’t wait to try more nespresso flavours as and when we get through the mammoth amount we currently have at home.
