Ever since discovering Charlotte Tilbury and trying out the makeup thanks to my fiance getting it me for Christmas a year ago, I’ve been obsessed. This brand even though a little more on the luxurious side is worth the money in my eyes. It’s the makeup I’d like to get married in because it just gives you this flawless look that is so easy to create using these products. I though I’d delve into a few of my favourites in today’s blog post because I have quite a few that I love.
When it comes to primers and bases, it’s important to always apply one before going in with a foundation. Not only does it create something that can help the foundatio and other makeup grip to the skin, but it also adds an additional effect, depending on what you’re going for. The Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter is one of my favourite beauty products out of everything that I own. It has doe foot applicator and you simply use a few dabs on the skin. I tend to put them on my cheek bones and forehead. I then blend this into the skin with a beauty sponge before applying a foundation and OMG, it’s amazing. It just gives you that dewy glow that’s radiant and healthy. Everytime I have a nice out or an event, I’ll wear this primer underneath because it just looks so pretty.
The primer costs £34.00 which is a luxury price tag compared to most high-street brands but I have to say that this is totally worth spending the money on, even if you were to keep it for special makeup occassions only.
This Christmas just gone, I got another bumper box of Charlotte Tilbury goodies from my partner. I think for future reference, he’s just going to get me Charlotte Tilbury products every Christmas because there’s nothing better than these festive treats. The Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette is a must for anyone who wants to quickly do a basic makeup look and ususally does it while on the go, commutting to work or seeing friends. It does come at a price of £49.00 but you’re essentially getting your eyeshadows, bronzer, blush and highlighter all in one handy kit. It’s a sizeable palette but not to big that it won’t fit in a handbag. I love that it’s got three eyeshadows and two different types of blush. It’s a gorgeous palette to create a barely-there makeup look and this is one of the first palettes to go in my bag when I’m on my travels.
The only thing I would comment on when it comes to the makeup brand is that the powder highlighters don’t seem to be that glowy. They’re more of a subtle glow than anything else, but I still like that effect. I’m just much more of a glow girl than a subtle one.
The Filmstar Bronze & Glow Duo Palette is one of my favourite Charlotte Tilbury products that I own. Finding the right bronzer can be difficult when you have pale skin and so you want to pick one that’s going to be subtle on your skin but not too dark that it’s going to look dirty. I love the shade in this duo palette, and the combination that these two provide on the skin is beautiful. When I got my second batch of CT products from Sam, I got two of the same products, this one and the Pillow Talk lipsticks. However, I love both of them, so I’m actually rather happy I’ve got my next supply all bought and ready to go.
This palette costs £49.00, so same price as the face palette but only contains two products. I think the highlighter again is where I struggle with it but the bronzer is definitely worth half of the price.
And finally, the lipsticks. I’m a big fan of the CT lipsticks because they’re buttery soft, highly pigmented and just look so pretty. I’ve got two shades so far, one in Pillow Talk and the other in Diva. Pillow Talk is a cult beauty favourite for most people and I can see why. It’s a gorgeous nude lipstick and it suits my skin tone down to the ground. Diva is a pop of red and pink tones that makes for a perfect off-red lip.
The lipsticks are mostly priced around the £25.00 mark but they’re so stunning that they are definitely worth splurging on if you fancy getting a few statement shades.
And that’s my Charlotte Tilbury favourites in a nutshell. I would still love to try out some other lipstick shades, as well as a few skincare products too.
