If you’ve been a reader of my other blog, you’ll have probably seen this already but someone I know recently mentioned on their Instagram that they started this subscription and so I wanted to highlight just how good Friction Free Shaving is.

When it comes to body hair, I say embrace it. I often let my leg hair and underarm hair grow a lot longer than most but I’m not really fussed about it, and it being on show to others. At the end of the day, it’s just hair, right? However, for those who regularly shave, it can end up being quite a lot of effort having to pop out to the shops to get razors on the regular. Along with any sort of shaving cream and moisturiser, it can end up being quite costly. I got sent the Friction Free Shaving subscription a while back and after being gifted it, I set myself up with a regular subscription.
The subscription itself used to have more than just the one option but now it seems it’s one price of £9.95 which includes the razor and then the razor blades. I think you then must pay £9.95 per month. To be honest, I’ve not looked at the outgoing of my Friction Free Shaving for a while so I’m not sure if I pay the same amount or slightly less with being on an older subscription. You can pick whether to receive a box every month or every two months.

What I absolutely love about this subscription service is the value for money you get. You don’t need to worry about having to remember to buy razors every couple of weeks and the cost of it is so much better. You’ve got a reusable razor that simply needs the razor heads replacing. It probably works out that you pay more money over the course of the month on razors than you would with this subscription service. Less money and less hassle, I mean what more could you want?
Considering I’ve had the razor for well over three years now, the quality of it has remained the same. Rose gold can be a bit of a pain to keep from going rusty or losing it’s finish altogether. However, this one seems to be a good one because you can see there’s very little damage or wear to it.
With four razors that come with the blade, it’s going to last you if you shave once a week and I would say you could get 1-2 uses out of each blade, depending on how long you’re using it for and in which areas. A good thing about this company is that you can also recycle the razor blades. They are packaged in a handy box which you can just pay to return it at your local post office. It’s a good incentive to recycle where you can and that includes things like these that would usually be chucked into the bin.
I’m such a fan of this subscription and will continue to use this for as long as the business keeps running. I’ve since noticed other businesses like this pop up, so it’s obviously a popular service.
