It surprises me that a shift has happened in the last year or so when it comes to my fitness. I think having the ability to go to the gym as a mum is rare and wouldn’t be possible without the help of my parents, as well as my husband.
Regardless, it takes a lot of self-motivation to sustain daily and weekly fitness in your life, especially when you become a mum. I typically go one to two times a week to the gym currently, and I’m in my second trimester of pregnancy too. Although I know it’s likely to get more challenging as the weeks go on, I feel the efforts I’ve cemented prior to getting pregnant in the gym have certainly helped me sustain my efforts in going to the gym.
At the same time, though, I rely heavily on my Beats headphones. If you’re like me when working out, working out in silence or with the gym’s playlist is like torture. It makes the experience in the gym less enjoyable, so I bring these along with me every time.

I’ve always wanted some Beats headphones ever since I think Zoella featured them on her YouTube channel. I got the same colour, the beautiful rose gold, and I had them for my 30th birthday. I’m now nearly 34, and the headphones are still in pristine condition with no wear on the headphones themselves.
This particular pair, I don’t think, is no longer available to buy, other than buying off second-hand websites. I think it retailed for over £100, but you can now get the same type of headphones, albeit not the exact colour, for around £109. Of course, you can get cheaper headphones and earphones, but I do believe these headphones are well worth their price.
I love using them in the gym because they actually help to scrape back my hair, which is important when you’re sweating and working out in the gym. There’s nothing worse than dealing with strands of hair in your face.

They connect easily with your smartphone without the need for any app. They’re easily foldable, which makes them great for transporting, and they fit really comfortably on your ears.
I’d say the only downsides are that they’re not noise-cancelling and that they do tend to get uncomfortable if you’re wearing them for more than a couple of hours.
You can also operate and control your music through the headphones via touch. On the ears of the headphones, you can click the Beats logo button, and it’ll skip to the next song. I believe you can also take calls and ask Siri questions through the headphones, but I’ve not tried or needed to do so with these so far.
If you’re looking to treat yourself and want good-quality, wireless headphones, these BEATS Solo 3 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones – Rose Gold are certainly worth buying. Let me know if you own Beats headphones or what other alternatives you’d suggest that work for you.
