Home Decor Spotlight – The World’s Largest Clock

Yes, she’s made it from our old place to our new one. For anyone who’s not familiar with this maginificant timepiece, this beauty is one that we got in such a large size because our old flat had high ceilings. It meant that we had so much more space to work with, and so filling one wall with a big clock definitely made a difference to how the space felt.

It spent a good six months in storage before it saw the light of day again and began ticking once more. However, it was touch and go for a hot minute – pun intended – as to whether it would stay in our place.

The reason is that, if you’ve not already realised by now, it’s pretty big. That means with normal-sized walls/ceilings, the clock is abnormally big in the spaces we have available.

There were two spots where this clock was going to fit in our new house. One place was in the kitchen, but the problem with the wall was that there were electric sockets, and it would have stuck out like a sore thumb. Instead, we opted for the sitting room, and I think this is a lovely place to put it. Not only that, but you’ve got a view of it from the front of the house when the blinds are open.

It’s one of those clock designs that is timeless – again, pun intended – and I’m really happy that we found a great spot for it. I think the gold-brushed numbers and black outlining of the clock go really nicely with what we’ve got as a setup in the space so far.

This month is spooky October, which means I’ve got all my autumn and Halloween decor ready to place around the space, so I’m going to be doing that over the next week and showing it off to you, my readers, on my blog.
