Do you know what I absolutely love about independent, small businesses? They’re unique and that’s something that a lot of mass-produced products don’t give you. when it comes to Jiraff Gifts, you’re getting something that is going to be a little different every time. It’s been made with love, from the dried petals that go into the bath milk to the beautiful packaging that has been picked out. The Bath Milk was a product I was eager to try from the collection. Jiraff Gifts can be found on Etsy and the company already has a wonderful array of home and bath products that make the perfect gift for yourself or for others that deserve a treat.
The presentation of the products is what I love about this brand. It’s clean, it all feels fresh and I just love the fact that this bath milk comes in an old-style milk bottle. I was telling my partner that I’m going to slowly save up all the bottles, clean them out and then re-use them as smoothie bottles. You know…for when I actually get around to making smoothies or even buying the appliances to make them. It looks so pretty in the bottle and has a gorgeous ratio of milk powder to the dry petals. There’s just enough for two bathtubs as Sam took a whiff of it and wanted to have half of it in his bath that evening. Laura Rendle, the owner of Jiraff Gifts, recommends you use as much or as little as you like – she personally likes to indulge in the whole bottle. At £8.50, it’s a luxurious treat to give to your body, especially as the ingredients used contain Epsom salts, which is known to be good for relaxing muscle pain. There’s the milk powder (which is organic) and essential oils, depending on the fragrance you pick.
There’s three fragrances to pick from and no doubt further down the line, Jiraff Gifts might introduce other scents. These are Rose Water (which is the one I got), Sweet Dreams and Pina Colada. The smell is just wonderful and even whilst the bathwater was still running, it had a gorgeous scent that just wafted its way out of the bathroom and into our hallway.
My skin when I got out of the bath was silky smooth and being environmentally-conscious, Jiraff Gifts also throws in a drain cover that can collect all the petals so that they’re not going down your drain and potentially causing blockages. I’ve just re-ordered another Bath Milk and I’ve got Sweet Dreams on the way. When it comes to supporting small businesses, it’s so important that we all do our bit, especially for the sheer effort that these individuals go to in order to take that risk and invest their own money into it.
