If I were to ever to sell my own fashion, I’d sell luxury bags. I’m forever scrolling through the pages of Selfridges, looking at all of the gorgeous pieces. What I’ve noticed about designer bags is that the quality is a lot different to the standard you’d get on the high street. I always leave home with a bag, regardless of where I’m going. Michael Kors is the first designer bag I got and it won’t be the last because I love this designer and the bags they produce.
Now these bags are very much my babies and will remain so even when I have actual babies. I’m a somewhat materialistic person when it comes to buying things that bring me a lot of joy, regardless of how much they cost. Well within reason of course. Unless I was earning what Kylie Jenner earned, I can’t see myself buying a bag that’s over £1,500. That to me, just seems terrifying because I’m someone who is fairly clumsy and also I’d be conscious of someone spotting it’s value and trying to steal it from me. However, anything under that amount is something I’d buy because it’s one of these statement fashion piece that for me, makes my outfits. I have a MK purse too but I thought I’d focus on showcasing my two bags from the designer.
Jet Set Large Saffiano Leather Top-Zip Tote Bag
This is the first one of the two that I own and this was also the first one I bought. My brother’s partner has a cousin who worked for Michael Kors and therefore I managed to get this one at a discounted amount. Now that I own two MK bags, I’m definitely on the hunt for a third one and some of the latest collection that has come out recently is stunning. I have my eye on the Carmen Large Logo and Leather Belted Satchel and the Greyson Logo Duffle Bag. The tote bag is the perfect size for the usual work bag or weekend option. The shape of this bag is beautiful and those side pockets really help add something different to the shape of the bag. The MK Badge that sits on the outside of the bag is effortlessly stylish and I love the colours of black and gold together.
The bag has four metal rounded stumps at the bottom of the bag to stop the leather from getting scratched and as I’ve owned this bag for over two years now, there’s not a single scratch or mark on the exterior. It’s a beautiful bag and is the classic Michael Kors bag that most people who own the designer’s bags, have in their collection. It’s only slightly weighted to give that luxurious feel but is quite light that it can be carried on the shoulder or in your hand down at the side of you.
Rhea Medium Logo Backpack
Now this isn’t the Rhea Medium Logo Backpack and I want to say this is probably an older version of an MK bag that just isn’t in production anymore. We got it from Century 21 in New York City while visiting a friend so it’s geniune but is probably an older line of the brand. A backpack is one of my favourite type of bags because they’re so easily wearable. I usually opt for this bag whenever we’re going travelling as it’s a bag that’s big enough to store the essentials but isn’t as fussy as a larger tote bag. You can stick it on your back and have your hands free to do other things!
Again, I love the MK logo that’s printed onto the material of the bag and the little stamp on the top. The two zip compartments are useful for easy access to certain things that you want to just grab quickly and then the two side compartments are good for your debit cards or anything thin enough to fit into it.
