Let me tell you, it feels so good to finally have a vanity mirror in my bedroom. I’ve been using a standard rectangler long-framed mirror for the past year or so and it’s made for a bit of limited mirror use when I’ve had friends and family stay. Now though, I have a beautiful arched mirror from William Wood Mirrors to help me out.

Shopping for a mirror, like anything in my home is a long drawn out process because I’m a little indecisive. I won’t buy something until I’m absolutely sure it’s right for what I’m after. The reason why is that I like to invest in quality pieces and that usually doesn’t come cheap. Although that might be the case, it still means that I’m buying things for my home that I will have for years to come. I’m also wanting to limit the amount I buy for this apartment becaue I know eventually, I’ll be moving out.
When finding the mirror, I used Instagram for inspiration. I was hashtagging vanity mirrors and mirrors and seeing what came up. With how Instagram usually works, it’ll feature businesses that are nearby or at least within the same country as you when browsing through the feed of photos that have used that hashtag. A few of them were used by William Wood Mirrors and I was instantly star-struck. Eventually, I want to get one of those huge regal mirrors but I just don’t have the space in my apartment. So when looking for one that suited what I was after, I knew that it had to be something pretty big. My walls are high and the ceilings even higher, so a small mirror would just get swallowed up by all the space. I also love the arch-effect because some of the windows of our development have this beautiful arched window. Ours were replaced because they could be and the arched windows are only single-glazed.
I absolutely adore this Crushed Black Industrial Wall Mirror that I ordered and I was gutted when at first they were out of stock. A quick DM from William Wood Mirrors after storying my dismay on IG told me that the last few would be put up for sale on the website straight away. The power of social media guys is impressive.
This mirror set me back £175.00 but the guys at WWM gave me 20% off so it ended up being £140.00 total. For the size of this mirror and the quality, I would have paid more but what a saving!
I’m definitely glad that I held out for a vanity mirror because this one really is perfect and was exactly what I was after. I would like to get one more mirror to go into the living room area but opposite our kitchen and I’m thinking that this Champagne one is stunning.
